gallery wraps, Photographer Eagan

Andrews Photography a photographer near Eagan MN. We do all sorts of photography, H.S. seniors, families, weddings, Quinceanera, sweet15,sweet 16 parties, events, and corporate heads shots just to name a few. One of the products that can be used for any sort of photography is the gallery wrap. Here are a few points of the product.

What is a gallery wrapped canvas?
  • It is a high quality print on artist canvas.
  • The canvas is stretched over custom made wood supports.
  • It is available in any size.
  • Its depth is 1.5" or 2.5"

What's so cool about gallery-wrapped canvases?
  • These images stand out boldly without the distraction of a frame
  • They appear to "float" on your wall.
  • You don't need a frame for stability; the structure is inside the art.
  • Here is an example of a before destination wedding image and an after destination wedding wrap. The third image demonstrates use of adding a background so the grooms head will not be wrapped around the frame. With a few artistic embellishments any photo can be used as a Gallery wrap. Andrews Photography spends time making sure any portrait we take looks good on your wall.

Note this High School Senior Photo we did for Nicole she looks every part the model. Braving freezing temperatures in lower town Saint Paul to get this shot.
Thanks Nicole for being a trooper!

Andrews Photography, Wedding Tip, getting more out of your day what to expect

    WEDDING TIP OF THE DAY

Drawing on our 20 years experience in the wedding business as a photographer and wedding planner. We will try and inform you about what a wedding can be like. Think of the wedding day as a three ring circus, mind you a really wonderful three ring circus.

The groom. He is the ring master, this is his time to show the other side of the family that he can run the show keep things together. He doesn't necessarily do anything during the day but delegate, if the need arises. His other job is to be around the bride so the photographer can get those really cool candid photos of him interacting with his love.

The bride. Her only job is to make sure her dress was fitted properly and she's on time. She will be aglow, a site to behold, a goddess, a vision in white, a dream come true. You get the picture. Believe me she will have great photos!

The parents. They just want to reconnect with there families and show off those wonderful kids of theirs. Mom wants the formal photos but she really wants to make sure that the guests are happy and that this wedding was better than cousin Margie's last year, their cousin took the photos and lets just say it wasn't pretty, think, "kid in a lion cage" clean up in the center ring. Father of the bride just wants to get out of this situation without getting a second mortgage.

Weddings are a time of celebration and a coming together of two families, don't spend your time after the ceremony, that's if you can taking the formals. Spend your time after doing something fun with the bridal party or mingling with your guests. If you dont want to see the groom before hand think of doing this instead. Take 15 minutes at the beginning of the day and do a first encounter were the bride walks in to the groom in a private area. It will be close to the same experience as the isle. This gives them the time to connect before the day gets started. Makes for great photojournalist romantics of the bride and groom too. Now a third of your wedding day just became available for fun.

When the popcorn has been eaten and the clowns have stolen away, remember the only lasting memories will be your photos. Invest wisely.

Fun E session Vegas Neon bone yard, Andrews Photography

This couple knows how to live life. If you have been following my blog you will have remembered Corey and Carley. Corey was the one who popped the question during a photo shoot at my studio. Carely opted to wear a black dress while in Vegas at the Neon Museum. The Neon Museum has all the old Vegas signs in a lot north of the down town district. They also fix up some of the signs to there rightfull glory. The lot is nothing but gravel and dust, bring something to drink. You might want to go to the bathroom too before showing up, they don't have any running water. Think backyard lot, add 2 bums and a bit of stink and you got it. Corey and Carley had a blast though. Its nice when you have a couple that has a vision and wants to try fun intimate photos. You can see the entire shoot here password is Vegasneonboneyard. Andrews Photography was there to capture a unique experience for there Vegas trip. We have had numerous couples photographed in Vegas but no one else opted for this location. We think this is one of the most hidden gems in America. Even the Vegas cabs don't know about this place. A tip to Destination weddings in general, hire a photographer that knows you, do the research on the location, and bring him or her along with you. You will get more then you ever imagined.
